Our Story
The Bright Azariah Memorial Educational Trust - BAME Trust
The formation of the Bright Azariah Memorial Educational Trust in 1970 in memory of two great sons of India- the late Rev. Bright David and the late Dr. Edwin Paul Azariah - is a fitting tribute to them. Rev Bright Azariah was a highly educated but humble man who shepherded a church at Neyoor (a small village in the Kanyakumari district, Tami Nadu). Dr. Edwin Paul Azariah laboured hard for 21 long years among the poor and illiterate people as the Medical Superintendent of Campbell Memorial Hospital at Jammalamadugu (a backward area in Andhra Pradesh), although he had many opportunities to leave for more lucrative jobs.
Our Founders
Mr. M L Bright and Mrs. Vimala M Bright, are the founders of Kaypeeyes Institutions and were an eminent educationists interested in the welfare of children and young people from all walks of life. They founded Kodaikanal Public School in 1982 with a vision of providing quality, value-based education in the serene surroundings of Kodaikanal. Their dream was to create a nurturing learning environment where academic excellence, strong character, and holistic development go hand in hand.
Guided by their commitment to educational excellence and Christian values, they laid the foundation for what has grown into one of the region's respected institutions. For over four decades, their vision has continued to inspire generations of students to learn with confidence, lead with integrity, and serve society with compassion.
Today, Kodaikanal Public School proudly carries forward the legacy of its founders by empowering young minds to become responsible citizens and lifelong learners.
